Flying Footballs and a Great Game for the Lakeland Lancer Football Team
There’s something in the air!
There was excitement in the air as the Lakeland Lancer Football Team took on the Rangers of Walkill Valley in the opening round of the North1, Group 2 playoffs last Friday night.
The standing room only crowd was treated to an evening of perfect weather, and Lakeland. Supporters were entertained by the Lancer Band and our fabulous cheerleaders, who kept the momentum high as they celebrated each of the Lancer scores by throwing 100 commemorative “Lancer 2010” footballs, donated by “Only” Orly to the enthusiastic crowd!
The spectators remained on pins and needles throughout the game and had the privilege of witnessing outstanding play by both teams. However, it was senior stand-out Cody Geyer who helped seal a come from behind victory for the Lancers and the final score was 19-14!
Best of Luck to our Lancers as they take on the Lenape Valley Patriots this Saturday in the semi-finals of the NJSIAA Conference.
