Gourd Candleholders
Use candles instead of overhead lighting, as dim lighting is essential in creating the right Halloween mood.
What You Need:
- Gourd, squash, or mini pumpkin
- Tealight candle
How to Make It:
1. Cut a hole in the center of a gourd, squash, or mini pumpkin
2. Set a tealight candle into the hole
3. Set your candleholder on a tray with aluminum foil.
4. Light it and you have your dim lighting to set the mood!
Witch’s Cauldron
The Witch’s Cauldron is the perfect decoration to place at your front door step or use as the centerpiece on your dining room table.
What You Need:
- Large Bowl
- Dry Ice (You can purchase dry ice from your local grocery store)
- Water
How to Make It:
1. Put the dry ice in a container with a tight lid (Do not touch dry ice with bare hands)
2. Submerge the container in water
3. Ta-Da…you now have a Witch’s Cauldron!
Glowing Ghosts
Make some Glowing Ghosts to blow in the wind letting all your neighbors know that Halloween has arrived.
What You Need:
- Mini Glow Stick
- Balloon
- Permanent Marker
- Thin or transparent white cloth
How to Make:
1. Activate a mini glow stick and slip it inside a balloon
2. Blow up the balloon and position the knot of the balloon at the top center and use a black marker to make a face.
3. Use a thin or transparent white cloth to cover the balloon
4. Cut a small hold in the cloth and push the knot through so you can tie a string to it and hang it from a tree, your door, or a lamppost in your front yard.
